We Are Renaming The Desktop CSR. We’d Love To Get Your Input On The New Name.

In early 2000 I had the vision of creating an agency management system, and I always told myself that if I ever did I’d name it “The Desktop CSR”. Why?

Because the CSR is the backbone to the agency, and it’s the CSR who utilizes the agency management system the greatest in the agency. The agency management system is the CSR’s lifeline for doing their job in the most efficient and productive way, and the key to offering their clients fast service.

While this is just part of what an agency management system does, it’s a foundational piece and where most agencies put the most emphasis when selecting an agency management system.

The problem is, the days of solely doing work from a “Desktop” is behind us. Today agency staff are able to access their system from desktop PC’s, smart phones and tablets, all of which play an important role in agency staff doing their jobs.

Let’s be blunt, having your client information at your fingertips when you walk into their office or go to their home makes it a whole lot easier to work with your clients.

Therefore, we decided it was time to retire my original naming of this first system we’ll be introducing and to give it a new, more up-to-date name. This is where you come in.

I’ve always believed that two heads are better than one, three are better than two and so on. I’m a firm believer in getting feedback and input from our client and from the whole staff. Just one idea to something can be the difference between great success and mediocre results, and results are everything to me.

In fact, we’ll be the only vendor that will track the results you gain by switching to our management systems because, like I said, “results are everything” and I want to absolutely make sure our clients are creating measurable, verifiable results from our system.

So we’d like your input on the new name for what’s been called the “Desktop CSR” up to this point.

Defining The Desktop CSR

In its purest form, the Desktop CSR is  a client & policy management system just like the other systems on the market. That’s what they were designed to do, along with some offering accounting features which the Desktop CSR will also offer, and some, including the Desktop CSR, offering other features beyond just client and policy management.

In addition, the Desktop CSR is about:

  • Helping an agency to massively increase their productivity.
  • Being accessible anywhere, anytime.
  • Being very easy to learn and to use.
  • To quickly service your clients and their policies.
  • To be single-entry so you’re not re-entering data already in the system a 2nd time.
  • Offering a powerful insurance specific accounting system that’s easy to use and offers powerful features.
  • Helping producers do their job a whole lot easier.
  • Helping agency owners stay on top of their agency and know exactly what’s going on in their agency.

When designing this system I’ve been very clear on what I was after.

Naming Ideas

When naming a product, advanced marketing courses teach us to name it so the name alone will clearly tell the consumer what the product is, what it will do or what result the end user will gain from using it. I broke these into three key groups below, but am open to any other naming strategies that will clearly indicate what this product is.

Based Upon… How Accessing

Desktop CSR: DTC – Outdated. It’s no longer “Desktop” but anytime anywhere

Anywhere CSR or Agency: AWC or AWA

Anytime CSR or Agency: ATC or ATA

Anytime Anywhere CSR or Agency: AAC or AAA

Based Upon… Result Based

The Automated CSR or Agency: TAC or TAA

The Productive CSR or Agency: TPC or TPA

The Efficient CSR or Agency: TEC or TEA

Based Upon… Product Driven

Automated CP Manager: ACPM (CP stands for Client Policy)

Client Policy Manager: CPM or CP Manager … This is currently the top choice.
